You thought completing the certification training would make you feel like a healer. During the training, you felt excited to go out and use your newly minted healing skills. But that exuberance was fleeting. It takes a lot of energy to push out a new version of yourself, the one who offers healing to others. 3 months later you are back into your old routine of going to work and caring for your family.
There are reasons why you find yourself almost exactly back in the same place as before the Yoga teacher, Reiki or herbalism training. Popular society does not encourage people, especially women, to step outside of the norm. The American economy is built on women feeling that we need something outside of ourself to be happy, loved and satisfied. And please don’t have the audacity to think you can help others heal!
Becoming a holistic practitioner is a process that requires support and daily spiritual practice. Each day we are faced with bills, social media, sugary or salty foods, jobs and so many distractions. It is not easy to stay focused on recreating yourself as a being who is helping to transform the world by offering healing gifts.
Your body can remind you of your divinity. It can be programmed to crave sugar or activate your brightest self. It craves substances when it is not being fed a regular dose of love and higher purpose. Your body can help you remember your calling.
You were called to help otherwise you would not have completed the holistic practitioner training.
The transition from office worker to holistic practitioner does require some work. You don’t become a sound healer just by completing the training. You must also transform yourself, your thoughts and behaviors in order to access the frequency of sound that is healing. You may not be called to sound healing, but what ever you feel called to do requires regular spiritual practice.
Don’t feel that you have failed if you are not doing healing work yet. You have years of programming to overcome. Capitalistic systems encourage us to live unhealthy lives; because, what we do to survive in the unhealthy lives feeds the system. Buying drugs, going to the doctor every month, retail therapy are all ways that keep us locked in unhealthy patterns.
When you took that training, it interrupted the unhealthy pattern and you felt good. It is possible to keep feeling good with daily spiritual practice. When you feel good, like you did in class, you have the energy to launch your holistic practice.
You must also remember that the systems of patriarchy and capitalism want you stay controlled by fear and unhealthy habits. But you are exceptional. You choose to uplift yourself and share your healing gifts with your community. Push through the desire to sit on the sidelines. You have skills that can help change the world.
Part of the issue with launching your holistic practice is feeling ready. Granted, in times of old, priestesses worked with master healers for years before being given the responsibility to heal others. This is a special time when you have the support of Reiki Angels, ascended master healers and ancestors who can give you information to assist you in helping others. Start where you can. As you give of yourself with an open heart to healing others, more
knowledge will come in your meditation hour.
I have created a free gift to assist you: 3 Pillars of Embodied Authority. This ebook will help you reframe your thinking and stand In The Center of Your Power. Click this link to get it.
